The first edition of the event took place in 1998 at Maringá city and since then the event has been going through Brazil, seeking to spread the research in IHC from north to south of the country.

The event is promoted by the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC), through the Special Committee on Human-Computer Interaction (CEIHC).

Belém

The forest embraces Belém do Pará, which invites you to walk through the green tunnels that make Belém the City of Mango Trees. Come see examples of 18th century architecture blended with the 17th century Jesuit Baroque. Belem is a capital rich in colors, smells and flavors, which can be noticed in every corner, in the gastronomy, in the falling mangoes, in the folklore, in the regional fruit ice creams. The city was founded on January 12, 1616, when it was built the Forte do Presépio, one of the places you cannot miss.

The gastronomy of Pará is considered one of the best in the world, it is closely linked to the indigenous culture, always innovating without detaching itself from the traditions. Its ingredients are exotic and marked by the diversity of colors, aromas and flavors. Among the traditional food, we can highlight the tacacá, the maniçoba, the duck in the tucupi, besides the fruits, such as açaí, bacuri and cupuaçu. Such cuisine, which has gone from being a simple food practice and became a way of life, has been developing and perfecting a growing number of techniques of contemporary international cuisine. Recently, Belém was elected as Creative City of Gastronomy by UNESCO. 116 cities from around the world are also on the list. Be sure to try it!
